ka24e block with a ka24de head

can i swap a ka24de head on a ka24e engine, will it work, and what parts will i need to make this engine reliable? or should i get a ka24de engine and put it in my 94 240 (s13), do both engine have the same ecu?

yes it can be done with some modifications to the timing cover I belive. all the water passages line up though. the e and the de have different ecu's. In my opinion you should just swap in a de.
