I highly highly doubt it. All the oil galleys are probably different and the head bolt configuration is probably all different. What would be the point of this?

i know that they sell a kit to throw the de head on the e block but the compress is to high to turbo it out.

but im intersted to know if u bor out the block and lower the compression if it would be too low

first of all..welcome to ze forumz...second of all ...you will find out sooner or later that good grammar is the key to receiving a decent answer here...it's really hard to care when someone doesn't even put effort into typing.

yeh this doesnt make any sense...it's not like 9.1 compression is atmospheric. you could still add FI to it and retain turbo response at the same time. and it would be very cheaper and wiser to just get a used de, as yours is most likely up there in mileage. and if ur gonna do that ull prolly just look at an SR anyway...hmm i seem to be rambling

Post KA questions in the KA forum...

Anyways aren't the E pistons flat topped, and create much higher compression ratios with the DE head?

Why you would want a higher compression engine for a turbo build?

what are you talking about atmospheric pressure?

Just do your self a favor and keep the heads on the blocks that are made for each other. Its like trying to mate a freaking donkey with a horse. Oh and ScorchedNX2K is correct about the grammar.

Swapping the DE head on the SOHC block has been done before(search the KA forum). However, it raises the CR to somewhere in the area of 11:1, which is too high for turbo on a ka.

just stick to the sohc motor, it's perfectly fine for boost.

Hahaha...I figured you'd see it. I figured the KA guys would have better answers as far head - piston compression etc. My guys over at KAT just want to add boost to everything

SWAP the de head for an E head. SOHC pistons use raised dish pistons compared to the DE because the SOHC uses a hemispherical head design.
