Will the cylinder head off a 24de fit a 24e block? I have a 89 240sx that i want to swap the head on. Also looking for a turbo manifold for the de head.

ok so here is the deal day dream drifter did the white up dont know exactly how to find it but if ur going turbo and your going head swap ull end up with lots of knock and ping the whole point of mating these 2 parts is the boost in compression from 9 somthing to 11.1 to 1 or 11.7 to 1 depending on the month your 89 was made whuich obviously isnt boost friendly. unless you have race gas and water alchohall/injection. to put the head swap in short the block and head mate up theres just a little custom work on the timing covers. im thinking of doing this swap myself but im worried about reliability and ping on an na motor unless ur doing somthing u didnt say think a lil longer next time and search

I went with 318 small block. only Real prob is you need to have a shorter drive shaft made and driver side header is a *****.

any thing is boost friendly, as long as you have good compression. This obviously means your not gonna boot 50 PSI on KA any way.

To boost you need to have a strong motor no matter what compression. It's all in your tune. High comp. you use less boost=(smaller snail). low comp. you need more boost with more than likely a bigger snail=(more wight)

You can't compare the compression ratio of a diesel motor to a gas motor, as the diesel requires higher compression. Why do you think they don't have spark plugs? :P
