ka24e and ka24de

ok so im about to rebuild my ka24e and i want to get the ka24de instead. now i looked up if the transmission is the same for both morors and it is. so now my question is is the block the same becouse i read that only the head is diffrent on the motors. so i was going to buy i de head throw some new pistons in ans of course some arp studs and bolts and call it good now if anyone has any onfo in this please help me out. and dont tell me to research stuff thats why i joined a forum so i can ask questions not look them up.

Blocks aren't completely the same. A few people have attempted swaping heads, multiple hours of work, pain, failure, and money. Is possible but way too hard when there are other options that are easy.

well im rebuildint the whole engine anyway so thats why i was asking for another opinion. ill just buy the block and head then and do the rest myself. thanks a lot..
