Help me out guys: Happy Holidays and support our troops !
Not this year, as my race engine is already built for 2004, but I will be upgrading (?) to a KA24e for 2005. Currently I am running a L-16 that is "healthy" in my dirt midget.Do to rules, I can't "port/polish the "stock" head, either a sss or the ka24. Question, is it true or not that I can take a #219 sss head (virgin) and assemble onto a KA24e long block? If so, are there particulars that I must address? etc, etc. I am still researching pros and cons of both heads, if I can work with a sss head on a ka24. I can change to any cam, valves ( as long they came from factory, valves that is ), tricker valve job. I am limited to a 40mm carburator, or factory injection. Right now, I am running a Cannon manifold, and a Weber DCOE.Also, I have looked up several sites on ka24s, any suggestions for others would be appreciated. Mike in Bellingham,Wa
