hey i've been doing a lot of research and have now gotten a straight forward answer i have a 98 240sx ka-t and im trying to figure out what route i wanne go with the rb25det or stick with my ka-t pretty much im shooting for 700hp now my question is will the ka-t handle 700 and what does the block crack at i found that the rb blocks crack in half around 900 to 1000hp if i did a ka and out the b.c. 2.7l stroker kit in it would it be ok or is there a certain number where the ka cant be pushed to and at 700 which would be more reliable please help me out thanks

Check out AMS Performance. 716hp record KA-T. I've seen RBs (RB26DETT)push well over 1000hp. 1350hp even!

um...i'm not really sure what you're asking because it's kinda jumbled but here goes:

the rb25 ring lands will fail before anything else at around 400 to 450. so to get anywhere near the hp goals, you'd at least need to get forged internals. the rb also has a stroker kit which puts it at 2.8 liters. overall, i'd probably go with ka-t because it'll be easier to find parts, and cheaper. however, rb25=baller status lol.

just some things to think about.
