I recently threw a rod on my ka24det,and it was my fault the boost spiked to high.I was wondering before i did rebuild if it was worth the while. If I do this with stock bottom end how long is the future for that motor how strong are the factory bottom ends. Im debating whether to swap or make adjustments to what I have.

KA blocks are plentiful and pretty cheap, and chances are, it'll be a lot cheaper than rebuilding your current motor. I'm sure a few others will chime in and such.

What's your current setup?

Check the crankshaft. I spun a bearing in mine but no damage was done. If you got damage your better off finsind a block with a blown hg and rebuilding it or just buy a good ka for 4-600 and direct swap which you can do in a day.
