runs great just makes radiator hoses hard under boost no oil in water nothing . what i am trying to fiogure out is what is causing these problems the motor is freshly built with less then 850miles on it . the motor was dropped in with proper break in period and such. drove the car daily for 850miles then on my way home one day the temp gauge shot up to the top of the temp gauge as hot as possible. then i pulled the car over and towed it home. all within 10min of it running hot. please help i was told it could be a headgasket but i am trying to findout before i go ahead and tear the engine down to replace a headgasket. i was also told it could be a crack in the block or crack in the head but the thing is . i can drive the car for up to 30min wihtout a problem then after about 30min it starts to run hot. but wihtin that period i can get into boost and all without prob.
PLEASE HELP!!

Sounds like a small leak in HG pressurizing the coolant. Does it ever overheat while just idleing? If so it may not be the HG.

Yep, sounds like the HG is the issue. If that doesn't fix it, then the cracked head would be the next guess. But HG is probably a safe bet.

thermostat may not be opening properly, head gasket may be on its way out...are there any coolant leaks anywhere? you may not see the origin but if you see any wet spots on anything you have an issue, if it were mine, id do a few things first.
1, examine everything
2, make sure no oil/coolant is mixing in either one...
3, flush the cooling system, check thermostat (you can use a thermometer in a heated pan of water, make sure it opens)
4, inspect waterpump.

it may or may not be a headgasket issue, just cover all the bases before you go tearing it down.

yea i understand but like i said has brand new everything. has a 175degree slant thermostat, brand new water pump all that but no oil+ coolant mixed together nothign zero leaks. but thankyou im going to check it all out and see what i can do ill be safe and make sure everything is working properly before i go and tear the motor down to replace hg
