Hello,

Been a lurker of these forums ever since I first got my 240 couple years back. At any rate, I've encountered my first problem that I am unable to personally rectify using the search button. Here's what I have:

Stock sr20 t25
stock sr20 smic, piping, turbo elbow
3" downpipe, 2.5" cat back
sr20 370cc injectors
tomei afpr
stock ka24de maf (have z32, waiting to get car running before install)
no tune, again waiting for it to run

Upon start up, the car turns on and idles well though sounds very throaty. The turbo and manifold heat up very quickly and begin to smoke (going to check gaskets :ohno: ) and dies shortly after. When then car is running and i give it slight throttle, it bogs down and appears to die (timing issue I believe). Last problem is that I keep blowing fuel pump fuses :wtf2:

Any help is very appreciated.

You are running 370 injectors without any tune. There's a problem.

take the 370's out and put the stock injectors back in, use stock fpr also and it should run just fine, then get it tuned with some sort of engine management. DO NOT BEAT ON IT TILL THEN

Thanks, 1siks13 I'll give that a try, and will most certainly not beat on it. I just need this car to get me home before I vacation for the next month. Worst case scenario is I put all my stock parts back on and go N/A.

Alrighty so after not-so-much scrutinizing the engine I got this baby to run. Set up my fuel pressure gauge and and discovered that fuel pressure was too high causing excessive bogging and such, go figure. Switched the injectors back to 270's for now until my next refund check when I can afford to properly tune this car. Until then, I won't be driving the car as I am vacationing for the rest of the summer.
