I currently have 2 240's. One of them is a ka24det one is a ka24de..There is this up coming car show in town.. Im taking my ka24det and I want my buddy to come with another ka24det.. He has a turbo kit for my stock ka24de.. I was thinkin is it possible to install a turbo kit on it with a fmu and run low boost... Yea I know that is a big risk but it's mainly for looks.. Yea i know that's what u thinkin.. but im just curious..I figured wit a fmu and keeping the car on low boost wouldnt hurt anythingI just want people opinons..If u want to flame go ahead.. just give me some opinons....

it wouldn't hurt on 4 or 5 pounds. granted you run high octane. think about it, greddy sells there basic kits with only an fmu. so does jackson racing on there supercharger kits for civics and such. as long as you don't over do it things will be fine. although 6 to 8 lbs would probably blow the de sky high. in my opinion, at least.

most of the old turbo kits are sold with fmu. drag turbo kit (on integra) i used it with 7 lbs of boost with no prob. make sure you have a high flow fuel pump.

don't install a boost controller cause you will just want to raise the boost.

Alright check this out the compression on this engine was 150 all the way across... How would this engine handle 5 psi with a fmu and aftermarket fuel pump....I dont plan on going any higher without a rebuild....

it'll be fine. be conservative with your boost and pay attention to your fluids. life will be fine
