To start. It's a ka24de turbo 93 conv. Built bottom end. 750cc inj. n62 mass. Fuel regulater. And sad to say emanage ultimate and so on.

It was running great for 9mo then a 5/8 coolant line kinked and warped the head.So I ordered a new one put it in the car starts. Now the problem is that when the rpm's get around 2500 I get a valve tap. When I replaced the head I didn't pull the bottom timing cover.

Is it possible that both cams are one tooth off. And it will still run. I did crank it by hand and it felt fine. Plus like I said. It runs at idel.

Please let me know what you think..

it's very possible that the timing is off.. in fact it could be way off. did you do the timing yourself the first time or did you pay a mechanic? and what does the car idle at?

All me from day one. And it sits at 827rpm timing is at 20. The cams are eight links apart. They look just as jwt's do.
