i turboed my ka24de and works good, except idle is horrible, when i start it up and its cold it will idle ok at 1500 for 10 seconds then just s*** off unless i keep my foot on the gas, sometimes itll run for a little if i let off the gas pedal but the idle jumps up and down big time and eventually shuts off. now ive checked everything, i dont think its the injectors cause it tries to idle when its cold, i did a leak test and theres a little leak but its very minor and i fixed the major leaks i had and it made no difference. anyhow heres wat im wondering is causing it i cut the metal pipe going to the manifold from the egr when i changed manifolds and its just open to clean air, also i removed the other exhaust recirculation thing for the exhaust and intake air that sits on the drivers side near the power steering resivoir, could either of these two things be causing my idle issue and how can i fix the idle, because before i turboed it and did all the work the car idled perfect. now ive read the idle threads and fully understand it but i have a bigger problem, because to adjust your idle the engine must stay running which mine wont without keeping your foot in the gas pedal, so please help me out here, thank you

Sounds like your iacv is clogged or you don't have the aicv hose routed properly.

if you have removed the egr tube you should also remove the egr and block off the hole with a block off plate (super cheap). same with the smog contraption attached to the driver side strut tower, remove and block off all connections to the exhaust and intake. while your at it track down all the vacuum lines to those objects and cap them off too. check the vacuum likes behind the head near the firewall for cracks too (mine were wasted). do like compact said and remove and clean the iacv, while your at it (if your motor had a/c stock) look for the aac valve remove and clean it too (also on the intake log only in a worse location).

ok ill do the checks tomorrow now that valve thing i removed with the black box attatched to the top of the bracket, it has vaccum lines going to a little valve thing with a wire connector, does this need hooked up to the car cause right now the wire isnt connected to anything in the car?
