just finished putting together a ka-t and it turned out pretty good.makes me wish i had mine done too. it sucks having almost all the parts but not enough time to put it together. anyways, enough with the sob story and on with the pics.

the modified (slightly under 5qt) oil pan with turbo drain.

the turbo- gt2871

the downpipe and wastegate

the pictures are from the building and mockup process.there is pretty much no turbo lag. the thing seems to make boost right off of idle. it's only at 7psi now but once my friend gets it tuned at 17psi, i'll post the results and put up more pictures of the rest of the setup in it's finished state.

another ka-t on the road

i think it's the ground zero manifold. the only modification i had to make was cutting the 38mm wastegate flange off and weld on the 41mm tial flange on.the quality and fit of the manifold is really good.

the picture is from the groundzero site.

No prob.

Not just it looks great, but drive very very fast. Almost dangerous.my car's boosting 7 psi, so kinda used to turbo car but that car does boost up really quick. even faster than Z31 T3.

edit.

it should go more but the owner set the fuel cut at 13 psi, we didn't know it would boost that fast... anyway fun car.

definately the boosedesigns manifold. I am not too sure what the ground zero looks like, but that is identicle to the BD mani.

its a groundzero manifold. you can tell because the head flange is straight across not notched like the boost designs is.

it only has the factory baffles in it. i made that pan for my car but it ended up going to my friend.when i make another one, i'll document the process for nico

the stock engine's oil capacity is tiny considering it's size. when the engine is left stock, it seems to be fine. but on a boosted motor, i figure it could use the extra oil because of the temperature increases the engine will be dealing with. also, he didn't have enough money for an oil cooler setup at this time. i'm not sure when he's going to the dyno but once he does, i'll post the results.

even some little honda holds near 5 qt.

more oil capacity is nomatterwhat good for turbo cars. easier, simpler than adding oil cooler. Plus $3 more on every oil change doesn't really hurt anyways.
