Since your goal is 450 max, it would be very, very wise to upgrade your cooling system. In increases the overall efficiency of your car. Stock water pump, koyo radiator, and whatever fan/controller setup you prefer. I have used a couple, im stuck on the duel 12 inch FAL fans and a DIF duel fan controller. Taps into the OEM CLT sensor, good stuff. You dont really NEED to on a sub 300-350 build IMO, but its always a good upgrade.

Oil pump should remain stock. There are no viable internal oil pump upgrades at this time. If your current oil pump is OK and doesnt have more than around 150k miles on it you can just use the one you have.

Water pump should be taken off, and checked out. If it spins freely without much resistance, go to the nissan dealer and buy a new one. OEM only on stuff like that unless your doing something really oddball.

Fuel pump, upgrade without a question. Warbro 255 is a cheap and easy drop in upgrade. Good till 550 hp i believe at stock FP i believe?

If your going for a rom tune, i would always recommend 850cc injectors for almost every build that has even the slightest chance of you wanting 'headroom'. 450 hp is more than 550's can handle anyway.

would the 850cc injectors negatively affect his early goal of 300hp. U mentioned "head room" so he could just run the 850 from 300 to his 450 goal?

i was going to run the Tomei 740cc injectors. i think that will be ok for my goal for 300-450hp range. what do you guys think?

also, what turbo should i use to get the 300hp at 8psi?

i was thinking the jgs starter kit. it says its good for upto 450HP. heres the link.

740cc's would be better than the 550's, but like 480 said it's always nice to have room to upgrade. If you have a built engine and a nice turbo, why limit yourself by injector size? Go for the biggest injector size that your tuner is comfortable tuning for.

The JGS kit is a great kit. You can't go wrong there.

ok so the jgs starter kit is good. awsome, but will it produce my power needs? i understand it is good for 450hp, but will it produce 300hp at 8psi? i just want a reliable setup.

another question, im rebuilding the motor but what compression ratio should i do for a safe and very reliable high horsepower setup?

should i drop the compression?
