The other day my 240 developed an oil leak. When I went to start it I heard the engine squeal and shut it off. I checked the oil then added some. Then I turned it over by hand to loosen it up and get it lubed up. Replaced the front main seal. Now it won't start. It turns over and sputters for a split second. Before the oil leak it still idled really rough and would shut off some times and wouldn't rev very high. I am stuck now. At first I though the MAF but now I have no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know, but could it be the injectors? I haven't checked yet but does that put out a code and turn on the check engine light? Any ideas anyone?

Check the stators on your distributor cap. My roomate killed my KA once because he somehow (i dont know how to this day) made my rotary disk grind down the stators and i would only get random spark.

Its a long shot but check it out and make sure youre getting good spark. After that, check your fuel. See if the car starts with the MAF unplugged also.

Check vacuum hoses and the entire ignition system

I took apart the distributor and sanded to corrosion off of the rotor. Everything was in spec though. I am getting good spark and fuel. I even sprayed a mist of gas down the throttle body. I am just stumped. Why would it start before and once after replacing the oil seal but not now? Vacuum hoses are all in order. WEnt through to make sure the firing order was correct. The only thing that I haven't checked is the injectors but it should have done something with the mist of gas. PLus I couldn't get the injectors out. I am floored.
