my friend is trying to sell me his 93 240 with a welded rear diff. when i test drove it, at turns it would squeak. does that mean it needs to be balanced? whats the worse that can happen?

The welds could brake and f up up rear.

Are you fu*king kidding me?!!? There's a thread probably on page 1 of the general 240 section about welded diffs, and there's a million more out there.

Squeaking? What was squeaking? Tires? That's normal. Search for "The Welded Diff Discussion/Questions thread" I started that only a few days ago.
