ka24de---turbo

i got a question since i have a ka24de do i need to rebuild the engine to put a turbo on it cause since it is a de i figured it was alredy ready for turbo but i done know

try using that search button first...

here we go...

it depends on the motors condition, how many miles are on it? does it have over heating problems? was it properly maintained? does it burn oil?

imo rebuild the motor AND install the turbo at the same time so at least that way you can install all the lines, gauges, piping and you can tap the oil pan for your turbo a little easier

check compressionin good condition?most ka24de in good condition can take a good beating when turbo-ed and well tuned. dont really need a rebuild unless ur going to run 270+ hp.

and go read the stickies in the KAT engine forum. theres a reason why its there.
