In the late first gen 240sx they KA24DE (DOHC) was used and this is the same engine in the second gen 240sx, yet there are turbo kits for the second gen and not for the late first gen, why is this? Could a second gen kit be used as long as you have the KA24DE(DOHC) engine in your late first gen 240sx?

guessing If they have different kits for KA24DE s13's and s14's then their might be small differences in the placement/shape of things due do changes in engine by shape or size and different piping for the intercooler(if it comes with one)?

there are a couple differences, one mentioned above is the intercooler piping and another difference is that the 96 and above along with some of the 95 model KA's have an OBDII ECU. as far as the manifold design and basic setup is concerned the ODBII doesnt really matter but some electronic tuning devices, such as the preprogrammed emanage unit in the greddy kit, will have to be changed to work with ODBI. you can still use the emanage for ODBI but you will have to have it retuned. there are some other differences but are minor. if you want more responces you should post in the KA-T section

yea, pretty much bolts right in as it does with the S14. you do have to retune it with the optional E-01 preogrammer or support tool. im not sure how much/if any intercooler pipe modifications are needed.

usually its ecu stuff and intercooler piping that is the major differences between the kits. turbo and mani shouldnt have any issues.......
