ka24de Transmission problem(s)

Hey guys i was wanting your advice on a couple things, first here's the story.

I was buying a 5 speed swap with everything to do it except transmission fluid from this guy. He was pulling it from a wrecked 240 he had. Long story short he couldn't deliver it sunday because something last minute came up. He texts me the next day that he pulled the transmission but now it won't go into gear.

Here's the thing my 240's already torn apart waiting for a transmission since this guy didn't tell me the day before that the transmission wasn't working.

He wanted 375 originally and now since it's not going into gear he wants 250$, also he was supposed to include a transmission mount but now i'd have to get one for 50$

So i got 2 questions for you guys:

1. Could the 5 speed be fixed, and how? Rebuild kit?

2. 250$ seems like alot even though he'd include shifter, pedals, master and slave cylinder and everything for a broken transmission, what do you guys think?

Yes $250 is too much for a trannsmission, specially for a broken one. Is just better to keep looking, you should of been more patience with the swap. The rebuilt kit cost around 150 to 220 and is a b**** to do it if you have no experience on rebuilding transmissions. Like me I got a KA transmission for $50, but I have to rebuilt it. I decided to just look for a good working transmission. But anyways, keep looking for a KA transmission and don't pay more than $170 dollars. Just my 2cents

Thanks man, ya it sounded like way to much to me too.

Guess i'll just have to try and find another transmission soon. I heard the same transmission from some older nissan trucks that had the KA can fit so maybe i can find one of those in a junkyard or something.

I'm not seeing a whole lot on the web that i wouldn't have to pay 200$ just to ship.

We'll see I may just have to put another automatic in cause mine was starting to mess up. The guy has one laying around i can get for next to nothing.
