can i use my old ka transmission and just get a maxima clutch? my sr's transmission is making a horrible whine/growl noise that just keeps getting louder...it's probably bearings failing so the transmission will most likely blow up soon...i've heard of people using their ka trannys and then i've heard the complete opposite....

the bellhousings are different. you should be able to swap the KA gearbox onto the SR bellhousing.

Swap the bellhousing and you are all set. I'm living proof.

don't use a KA clutch... there is a reason why they make them for SR's but yea at least get a maxima clutch, it's not difficult to find SR clutches anymore. And yes you can swap the bellhousing, i did a write up on it on zilvia and or 240sxforums a while back so you could check there under "thesparo"
