KA24DE to SR20

Now I know you guys see these threads all the time, but I'm asking for a different reason (although I wish I could afford an SR) so hear me out.

I have a '90 240 with the single slammer KA and I'm looking to do a KA24DE swap.The guy selling the engine swapped it out for an SR.

What I'm wondering is, what parts do you need from the KA24DE to do the SR20 swap?The car didn't have A/C and neither does mine so that's not an issue.

From what I found, the PS lines is one thing and he says he cut the harness so I know I need to pick up at least these things.What else might be missing that was taken off for his swap?

I just need to know so I know what parts I need to hunt down to make the DE work in my car.The guy selling the engine doesn't really know so that's why I'm asking you guys.

Harness, Maf, Ecu, probably going to need model specific temp sensor for gauge to work, DOHC Tach

Are any of those things needed to go from KA24DE to SR tho? That's what I'm asking.I already know the parts I need to go from single->twin-cam. I just need to know what might be missing on his engine.

That's about right. anything that he would have used on for his sr from his de should be what you already have from you engine. the only things you need are the sohc -> dohc parts as listed above. Including, like you mentioned earlier, power steering.

Thanks guys.He did end up checking out his engine and it's complete sans harness, which isn't a big issue.At least now I won't have to go searching for a bunch of parts.
