I have a 90 with a torn up front end with good motor and 5spd transI have a 91 with a blown motor and auto trans

ive been searching and cant find anything but swaps to the de or sr20 has anyone done this?

Do exactly the same as you would for a de swap. Very simple.

thanks man, im not really sure how everythings going to go, i thought it was gonna be simple till i found out the 91+ have the DE and i dont know much about 240s

step 1 part out sohc car and keep 5 speed stuffstep 2 buy dual cam motor with money made from parting sohc carstep 3 install the correct motor in the 91

Yeah it's really very simple just make sure you solder your wiring.

im strapped for cash at this point having bought the 90 and having it totaled and buying the 91 for a daily driver with it just needing a motor and 5spd swap

i have ka24e with about 90k on it and trans that i Need swapped in, just looking for any advice or tips

Could i just use the 90 wiring harness and 90 ecu so it would be plug and play? no soldiering or cutting needed? besides inhibitor if it would still be there

Yeah but the dash harness connectors are different and that is what you have to cut and solder. Really simple. Sounds intimidating but it's not.

Lies! For each different color of paint: -5 hp. Just think, with a good paint job, your car would be in the low 12s in the 1/4 mile.

I pulled the ka24de in today, blown headgasket and timing chain so I'm pulling and rebuilding. Does anyone know where I can get the diagram for soldering wires

Just finished pulling all interior out of the 90 to be put into the 91, dash is still in, waiting for tommarow to do that, any information on joining the 90 engine harness to the 91 dash harness?

True that, i answered all my own questions with reasearch but the only thing i dont understand is will the fuel gauge work because im only splitting in tach,speedo,water temp, ignition, and ground. from the body harness to the ecu. i think, according to http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=228752

Yeah it will. Fuel gauge doesn't go through your ecu.....

i do have a mint sohc gauge cluster. omg it's so mint.

speedo comes from transmission.

fuel sensor comes from tank and goes to gauge cluster.
