Can anyone help me ? I have a fully built ka24de all parts fromka24de.com ,valve train also, jimwolf cams, jim wolf ecu etc. My idle vacuum is 14-16 lbs and sometimes on my wideband it will idle at 14.4 but will go to 12.3-13.3 timing is good , fuel pressure is correct , idle speed is fine but will sometimes go into 680-710rpm but it will normally be at 780-800 . It worries me , I only have 1700 miles on new motor. will the jimwolf cams and new valve train make the vaccuum go up a few lbs? or is it maybe a air leak and how can i check it? I have a buddy that just modded a sr20det manifold and stock t25 and has it on his stock ka24de motor and his vaccuum is at 17 18lbs. Any input will be appreciated . At 10lbs of boost it still will run rich 11.3 -10.1 I do not know what it could be . thanks for info. :(

Is the ECU tuned perfectly for you motor? Get someone who can make chips to tune your car... thats my guess.

It is jim wolf tuned ecu . It runs fine , I just can't figure out the vaccuum being a little hi and now it runs a little richer than it used to . and idle rpn will go into 680's to 720's sometime . It used to be 760 -800rpm.

i have jwt cams also and I get vacuum readings of 16in or so. Most turbo ka people I know get 20in but i think it has to do with our bigger cams (more duration and maybe more overlap).Do you have the adj. cam gears BTW?

maybe you have vacuum leak somewhere.. or maybe your bov is stuck open...

my car sometimes will go up to 15-16lbs vaccum when i activate certain electrical devices. i either have a draw on the engine, weak battery, or my asp pulley is hurting me. my sistuation is very similar to yours.

when i get this electraicl thing to happen the voltage to the maf increases some, which makes me run lean at idle and also must put a load ont he engine to get it up to 16lbs vaccuum. im thinkin the timing might also get retarded some to get this load. if im crusing its fine or if i adjust some of the safc settings i can get it to idle at stoich but it will still have the wrong vaccuum.

so maybe its an electrical thing like i got. im going to try putting my stock crank pulley back in then maybe a new battery since i already put a spare alternator in
