I have a ka24de s13 and i would like to upgrade it to be a ka24de(t), my question is do i have to upgrade my transmission? I am aiming for around 400-500hp; and if so what upgrades should I consider?

Welcome to NICO!

Search around - lots of guys have done this. If your transmission is in decent shape, a clutch/flywheel combo is needed at the very least. Transmission mounts are not a bad idea to consider, either. As far as transmission internals, I'm not sure on that one. One of the more experienced guys will probably chime in here.

Pretty sure the R200 diff is good to 600hp, even though the axles aren't. Not sure what the capacity of the KA /SR transmission is (they are the same, cept for bellhousing, right? Same for RB20, ya?), but I think it's in the area of 350-450 hp. The only internal upgrade I've ever seen for a KA / SR is made by OS GIKEN, and runs around $4k ish. Enjuku has it http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/OS ... hafts.html

+1 on the upgraded clutch and mounts. You *might* be snapping axles at over 400hp if you drop the hammer too hard. Not sure on that one.

Someone more knowledgeable than me (not difficult) could probably give you more info.

if your shelling out the money to get 400-500whp then you wouldnt mind shelling out the money to go with this setup
-rb25 flywheel 250mm lightweight to make up for the size
-a good 350zz clutch stage 2 or better pressure plate. look for a kevlar disc would suggest 6 puck at the least
-z32 tt 5 speed its bulletproof
- youll need the adapter plate (200-450)

total around 1000-1500 if you shop around and wait for a deal
