We need to know what your budget, experience, knowledge, and goals are. When you find that out, read the Stickies and FAQ. It should give you a basic view of what you need to know and what you're getting into.

By the way, expect a word from WDracin about our grammar policy pretty soon.

Ease up, Corky. You need to give more info so we can give you good advice. All the info you'll ever need is here, but no one's gonna copy and paste the entire forum in this thread just for you. Crazing was trying to help you...

Well if you spent 2 minutes to click search or even just rad some of the threads on the first page of this forum you wouldn't need to ask the question. And don't be Mr. Cocky, he tried to help you, we don't know what your goals are for the car nor the budget. Seems you came in here looking to cause an argument.

heres a quick answer even though your questions vague:building your internals is based entirely on your hp goals. depending on how many miles your ka has, you might wanna consider a rebuild for reliability.ive seen ka-t's with stock internals. does that answer your Q?

You can get 300whp with a stock KA pretty easy.. It depends how much money you want to spend. You could get away with a complete OEM rebuild and it could last forever at 300whp.

Well, total cost of the rebuilt and turbo kit will most likely cost more than a sr20.. But you'll have a 300whp reliable car, plus the expirence of putting it together... rather than a little 2liter with 185whp and not knowing how it was treated over in japan... I'd imagine the rebuild shouldn't run you more than $1200.

I would say for the support, and a big lineup of products offered for the KA24E/KA24DE....Check here for all the parts you need. I would say, with what little information you have provided, I'm going to give you this advice. Buy the Advanced Rebuild Kit that AMS offers. And then buy their Turbo Kit. And if you come back saying that's way too much....you may want to post up HP goals, your budget, and whether or not you want to pass emissions after going Forced Induction.

its 300 to the wheel and less than the total cost of a sr20 swap

that doesn't make sense... of course a KA with 300whp is going to cost more than a stock SR20 swap... now a 300whp KA vs a 300whp SR20.. the KA will be cheaper... it comes down to preference.. KA's are easy to get ahold of, and they're cheap... if you bought an SR20, you'd end up replacing most the parts anyways.. so why waste that $2000+ for a stock 180whp engine?

Now I know you haven't searched. Stock Ka's can hold 350hp after that it's sketchy... some blow up will other can hold 450 theres one that has like 574hp running off an sr ecu... Search again or give us better info on your goal and budget, and except advice don't talk back with a cocky attitude.

Scott,

Let me welcome you to Nico and KAT. I don't know how long you've been here, but I don't recall reading very many of your posts.

First thing, like someone already mentioned for me, this is a tech forum. Please slow down and type out clear consise comments and atleast use a little grammar. You're all over the map with wording and spelling.

This is a fantastic forum where everything you want to know can be found. People have recommended the button. There's a direct link in case you couldn't find it. Honestly, if you read the KAT FAQ you'll answer alot of your own questions. Also, if you want to find parts, take a look at All Of Our Sponsors

With the above links you should be more then able to complete a successful KAT project.

Here are the links again in case you didn't see the ones I listed above. The links are also in my signature block.

Just like they told you in YOUR post. Your not going to get an answer for that. I would be here all night typing up step by step instructions on how to pull a motor out of a KA. What i suggest is go down to your local auto parts store and buy yourself a FSM (Factory service manual). Also if you actually have to ask how to pull your motor out instead of tring first, running into a problem THEN posting how to get through it. Are you SURE you want to DYI? Maybe you sould get someone to do it for you.
