whats up guys , i'm having an issue with my KA-T .. i used to have the stock 270's and the stock MAF on my car with the IAP stage 1 turbo kit and have SAFC 2 installed.. *note the car was running perfectly fine before this *I recently had a lil DIY day and installed some brand new deatschwerks 555's and a z32 maf sensor.. i played with the SAFC 2 settings which i got off KA-T org. and got the car to idle perfectly. but the problem seems to be when i step on the gas at idle it drops rpm and hesistates and acts liek it wants to die. and its really hard getting her to rev up .. i've tried removing the maf sensor and problem is still there.. another thing is that my SAFC 2 is reading 100% AFL at idle.. i also noticed today on my external wastegate right where it connects to the exhaust manifold it has some black oil around it .. but underneath my car its perfectly dry.. HELPPP MEEE ~~~

Why did you go on kat when we have ALL your answers.First off what is your in and out settings on the car. And off sounds like maybe your mafs is wired wrong due to full voltage at idle. either mafs is shot or something is wired wrong

Check IN and OUT settings... 2 and 5 respectively

What is the MAF voltage at idle? Make sure you didn't cross the +12v and 0-5v Signal wires on the MAF. Lots of people mix them up because they are confused on which way they look at the plug and hook it up backwards. It wont mess up the MAF, just make it run as described.

Also, try grounding the extra ground to the Chassis. Or ground it to the one that's in the harness.

Good Luck.

maf is working fine , it reads 0.8% at idle , the only problem im seeming to have is that on the usual 2in and 5out the car tries dying out on me i need to keep for on gas to keep it going and it breaks up as i rev up and struggles to get to 4k , but i tried it on 5in and 6out and it revs up good but seems to cut me off at 4k... hmm

my plugs were gapped to .38 ... i think i need to bring her down to .30 from what i've been seeing elsewhere.. my car isnt tuned and i dont have a wideband.. i've used the settings i've found on KA-T.org . :-P .. i pulled a plug earlier and noticed its carbon fouled..im waiting for new plugs tomm adn regap andsee what happens.. as far as my maf .. its frustrating cause it doesnt wanna cooperate with me at 2/5 , ill do 2/6 and the plugs and see what happens.

i got new plugs , gapped em to .30 and started the car.. she kinda bugged out and gave me the same problem with the breaking up and etc. i pulled the plugs and they were covered in gas ..this is with the standard 2in and 5out.. i tried 1in and6out and no luck i tried 6in and 6out with no luck she just wont rev up and its extremely choppy. I tried 3in and 1out and she idles a lil low around 700 and then drops to 500 but when i steop on the gas now she's very responsive and hits redline with no problems , this is all at idle i havent took her on the road yet , no insurance etc. can someone point me in the right direction as to how to raise the idle via SAFC 2.. thanks
