Ka24de-t in S2000

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Ok so i got this money when my car got totaled and its just been sitting in my account until i find something i like. Now i wanna do something pretty crazy until the dealer markup value for the R35's go down so i wanna "maybe" start a project... Now i could get a 240sx which i know you all would love but ive been on the net lately and found a couple s2k's for under 10g's... and by no means am i a honda fan so i wondered about converting the s2000 f20c or whatever it is to a ka24de-t...

Give me your opinions yay or nay?Now remember this is just an idea at 3:00amConverting one honda at a time!!

In other words. what motor would you like to be sitting in an s2k bay?

If you're going to mess up the balance of the s2000, might as well do it with a worthy motor.

Normally when you put a different motor in another chassis, you choose a motor that is better than the original; not worse.

F20C is a fantastic motor, mated to a beautiful transmission.

Actually the S2000 is probably better than a 240sx in almost every way.

part of the reason people choose KA-T's in the first place is because they are easy to come by and require little modification to fit into the engine bays you usually find them in.

Going through the trouble of putting one in an s2000 seems like a huge waste of time and money just because you wanted to be "different" and "piss off some honda owners."

do it if you want to, be prepared to deal with the consequences and "i told you so's" when you're finished. i take that back, you would never finish this project, odds are against you even starting it.

but if you do, take lots of pictures and put it up here so you can prove everybody wrong.

No, it's just the KA isn't that amazing an engine, and putting an "Okay" Nissan engine into a nice Honda is just meh. I think you should just stay away from Nissan motors.

Why don't you take a FWD and do a RWD conversion? That will keep you busy.

I have a feeling that you may be incapable of even swapping a 240 let alone putting another motor into a completely different car. Unless you can prove me otherwise. Just get and s2000 and turbo it. /thread

Agreed!!! Do a RWD Maxima or Sentra. Or maybe a Accord with an F20c.

Just last night my friend and I were talking about putting an F20c in a 240.

Putting a KA in an s2000?

Let's take a look at the idea...re·tard·ed –adjective 1. characterized by retardation: a retarded child. –noun 2. (used with a plural verb) mentally retarded persons collectively (usually prec. by the): new schools for the retarded.

Let's take a look at the end result.re·tard v. re·tard·ed, re·tard·ing, re·tards

v. tr. To cause to move or proceed slowly; delay or impede.

v. intr. To be delayed.

n. A slowing down or hindering of progress; a delay. Music A slackening of tempo.

So, not only is the idea stupid, but will also cause you to go slower.

PS, If you want an s2000, I'll sell you mine.
