Alright so I'm finally about to order in my turbo pieces end of this month and I wanted your opinions and guidance to be sure I have evrything covered. I have done the research on this for a months, however I just want to be safe and have some last minute assurance. First and for most, my motor is approaching 150k, well maintaned and oil changes done every 1200 miles. It's an automatic. Of course I will get a compression test done before ordering. I plan to run small boost about 7-8psi on a Blox 8:1 FMU. Here's the list...

1) T3 Cx Racing turbo manifold kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190327815071?ss ... 1423.l2649
2)Walrbo fuel pump. http://www.ebay.com/itm/280773311198?ss ... 1423.l2649
3)No name intercooler kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/350690647577?ss ... 1423.l2649
4)Transmission cooler (running an automatic) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-10-Ro ... 4b&vxp=mtr

Does should about cover everything. I've heard good things about Cx racing so I'm going with that kit. I've also read on FMU's being ok for small boost which I mentioned early 7-8 psi, Blox is a good brand from what I've dug up too. The intercoolers are all the same and of course the walbro fuel pump is needed. One thing I would like to double check is our stock injectors, I've seen mixed answers on this, should I run them on low boost or not chance it and get some 550cc's?

Any advice appreciated.

Make sure car is running swimmingly in current naturally aspirated state; boost will only exacerbate any existing problems. Start now by gathering "prerequisite" parts. By this I mean parts you will need even before adding turbo namely a 255lph fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator W/ gauge, and gauges (boost, oil press, egt, afr, whatever your heart desires) Make sure again that everything is running well once installed. From this point out it's a matter of what you are personally trying to achieve (ie size turbo, tuninig, again whatever your heart desires. Sounds like you have been doing your research so just continue expanding your turbo knowledge to make sure you are as comfortable as possible doing the install. Good luck!

Its never a bad thing to pick up some new gaskets for your intake side of things either. If the gaskets are old they stand a greater risk of blowing out under boost. Other than that, definitely what milto0n said about gauges - you MUST have those and a way to tune. You "may" be able to shortcut things by just running an FMU with stock injectors, but just remember your triangle - Cheap, Fast, and Reliable. Pick two - and the old do it right or do it twice saying is still pretty dang accurate. You're adding air to your motor and you need to make sure you have adequate fuel and the right tune for that ratio. Without it, you're going to be out a whole lot more than the cost of a wideband and basic SAFC II.

Now I'm swaying to buy a used garret off of a saab 9-5. Not sure of those would work with our engines? I hear they should but double checking.

Looks like the compressor is part of the manifold, so it wont work. Three things that are good to throw money at: Turbos, Fuel system, Tuning.
