I don't have a 240sx but I thought there might be some good advice on this forum related to a KA24DE swap. I swapped a 2004 ka24de into a 311 and I used the 2004 harness and ecu. I deleted the egr and gas vapor recirculation system and wiring. I kept the original instrument panel and gas pump. I also installed an intake manifold from a 240sx. The OBD is only showing codes for the egr PO444. The problem is that I can' get it to idle or run smoothly, I'm Thinking I need a different ecu (from the old 240sx maybe ?) or have my current ecu flashed or maybe get a megasquirt or ??? Any ideas from the group would be appreciated

Are you sure there aren't any wide open vacuum leaks or anything?
Does it at least fire up and run poorly? If so try feeding it some extra fuel (like through a vacuum line or something) to see if smooths out or gets worse. Also, verify ignition and valve timing are correct.
