hey guys im new to this forum and to nissans in general. i recently got a 92 coupe with a clean body but the motor had been overheated and not well maintained. i cant get the car to start and compression tested it cold since it wont start with 93 60 32 60 compression. im looking to buy another ka24de to swap and wanted to know if all year ka24des can be swapped and if i can use a newer one and will i need to make any wiring changes etc if i do? thanks guys.

Welcome to NICO. You can use pretty much any year 240SX's KA24DE. However, if you use one from a newer 240SX (95+), you'll need to swap over some parts. Do a little searching around with the search function and you should find all of the information that you need. Also, I'd recommend downloading a copy of the FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your car. It will show you how to do anything/everything to your car.

alright ive gathered so far that i can use the newer 95 + engine if i swap my sensors and do somthing with the ditributor coil. ive heard keep my older cams from my 92 cause there more aggressive. i will do some more looking around to verify all that i will need.
