Well i traded a set of 22 inch rims to a friend of mine for my 92 240sx with a blown motor. i bought a new motor (96 odbll) and swapped the 92 distributor, intake and exhaust manifolds, and we used the same 92 wiring harness and ecu, everything plugs up fine. i've been told this car has history with motor swaps ( ka-t , nopi legal street drag winner) , hell their is a NICO sticker under the hood. When i first tried to start the car it would run but then i had to feather the gas pedal to keep it running and it would die if it tried to idle, i thought at first it was because i hadn't yet switched the intake manifolds. ( i was under the impression that maybe my IACV wasn't working) When i switched the intake manifolds the car would crank but not start. i have already tested for leaking/stuck injectors, im pretty sure its not a vacuum issue but i could be wrong again. im probably going to check and make sure my alternator is working properly ( i used the old alternator off the 92, the kid who owned the car before me said if i didn't unplug the battery terminal my battery would go dead, i think its got something to do with this junkyard radiator and fan which has been ran to the relay box, either that or this tore up wiring harness which looks like it has had ten motors put on it).

the car did run fine momentarily it just didnt idle, but now i don't think i am looking in the right direction. NICO help me bring this car back to life

try the throttle positioning senser it looks like a black box bolted to the throttle body. i had a similar issue with my 92 altima which also has a KA24DE

I was riding in the car when the previous owner blew the motor before i did this swap. this was recent and all the sensors on the 92 were working so TPS sensor should still be working. and when i did get the car running the throttle was responsive. but it couldn't hurt to replace anyways, i also think i will try to find another 92 wiring harness. although i know this car is very close to running i could spend lots of money replacing things and still not fix the problem i have to keep working and try to keep posting

Im going to drain my oil as well to make sure im not getting gas in my oil
