Swapped in a KA24DE into an 89 body, with an 89 transmission, since the donor motor came from an automatic car.
We've set the distributor properly, so that shouldn't be an issue. Checked our grounds as well. Wiring is correct (yellow-red to yellow-red, yellow-green to yellow-green, orange to orange, blue-black to blue-black and black grounded to another black wire going to ecu plug). Using the DOHC maf, harness and ignition coil.
The engine cranks over but we aren't getting fuel or spark. Tested for spark at the plugs and at the ignitor, and got nothing. We pulled a spark plug and there was no fuel smell on it. We pulled the fuel line and there was definitely fuel getting to that point. Then we pulled the fuel rail and there was nothing coming out of the injectors. Checked all the fuses and the fuel pump is priming.
When we turned the car over then turned the ignition off, the EGI relay under the hood started to buzz, and did so until we pulled out the fuse or unhooked the battery. Then I found a wire under there that looked like a ground. I grounded it and the buzzing stopped. Still no fuel or spark though.
Also we ran the diagnostics and got a code 55, which means all sensors are fine right?
Where should we go from here? Thanks for any help you may have!
