Hey all,

I have a KA24de swapped in my 510 wagon and the alternator isn't charging the battery. I took it to autozone to get it tested and it tested good. So I don't know where I'm going wrong here. The way i have it set up is that:

1) 2 gauge wire goes from (+) terminal in back of car to distribution block on firewall. 2) Distribution block sends 1 8gauge wire to starter, 1 8 gauge wire to alternator (B terminal), 2 12 gauge wires to EFI. 3) B terminal goes to wagon harness

anyway the multimeter isn't showing the typical 13+ volt that the alternator produces. I'm getting somwhere around 12.5 volts.

This may not be your problem at all, but Ive had alternator problems on my RB before and Autozone claimed it was fine. After a week of troubleshooting, I took it to an actual alternator/starter shop and it tested bad. After you check the wiring, I would take it to a shop that actually rebuilds alternators and starters to have them check it.
