If you are looking for more power you can rebuild it and turbo it. KAs are good engines. They're strong. But they're also small.

Through my experience with my 240, the ka24 lacks torque, but it has very good high end power.

Well yeah, it's a small displacement 4 cylinder so it certainly lacks in the torque department.

It depends on your budget and what you want to do with your car.

Well, eventurally I will have to rebuilt this motor. I had the car for this long I guess I am going to have it forever, so I need to figure the extend of the rebuilt. If there is a turbo in the future then the motor can be taylor as such versus a stock rebuilt. Money is no issue because there is no money. This is just the research stage. My Ka24 is running fine for right now, but this has to be address sometime soon.

Says the guy with a smaller motor in his car.

It is a larger displacement 4 cylinder and the stock torque is around 130 and doesn't start dropping until 4500 rpm.

OP. The KA has good displacement and power for a stock setup and is turbo friendly. If on a tight budget I recommend a stock rebuild and enjoy it.
