Trying to figure out what the hose or opening is on the bottom lefthand side of the intake peice right next o the throttle body is? anyone???

Try to get a good close-up of the hose you are asking about.

Are you talking about the larger hose that is "hidden" when you have the air intake in because it's underneath the intake?

If it's what I think you are talking about, it's just a "resonance" chamber for sound or something and isn't needed...

You hooking up a ebay intake or something?

ya its the one thats sorta hidden under next to the tb I was cleaning the the tb and saw a peice someone had rigged up to some what cap it off. ya didnt think it was much important cuz I didnt have any idle problems but sumwhat of a lag when i acelerate sumtimes.thx

i was wondering what that hose for. im going to take it off and cap the intake off. im wondering if that would cause any problems if the lower end of that hose messed, un-metered air anyone??

It's not un-metered as it passes the maf and just goes to a small chamber. No air escapes in or out.

It'll just change the sound and possibly cause you to lose a tiny bit of low end torque.

No. It wont cause any power loss. All those chambers are for is to make the intake quiet. Just make shure the hole is plugged.
