ka24de starts and dies right away

i got a s14 and just swapped a stock ka24de in it and when i start it up it idles wierd then dies out in about 5 or 6 seconds...but when i apply gas to it its sounds good and gets good response to....and heres what i checked so far:mafvacum linestpscts(coolant sensor)distributorplugs n wiresalternator

some minor things i checked to but any suggestions would help me thx240sx lov3r

when you give it gas does it get to a certain rpm and cant go farther?

Check everything on the intake side up to the throttle body what you are describing is similar to when you would be cleaning the throttle body and disconnect the intake before the MAF. Make sure it is not the MAF this is probibly it, what year car and what year motor. It's possible you have the wrong ecu or the MAF is wired wrong if you swapped it-it has to match the computer.Also there are a lot of vacuum lines on the motor to cause a vacuum leak a lot run behind the motor too.
