Does anyone know if it will work they are both s13 not s14....my starter just went out....well i think it is the starter....when i went to go start my car(s13 ka24e) it was acting like the battery was dead(turning slow) and then it started so i let it run for a min then went even slower the 2nd time. so i let it run for about 5 mins and went to go start again for the 3rd time and it dosent start(wont even budge). so i figuured my alt. was messed up but my car runs PERFECTLY when push started. all the lights work and everything has full power.so i guess the rules out the alt. and battery. so my guess was the starter but back to the question...will an s13 ka24de stater work on a ka24e? i have 2 of them.

thanks for the help.

just from the title of this thread, i can answer yes.

im using my single cam ka's starter for my dual cam right now, actually.

though the other question does make me think your battery's dead or about to die. try to jump start it and see if it cranks faster. normally a starter either works or it doesnt.

well, since the starters are interchangeable, give it a shot. theyre not that hard to replace.

see if that fixes the problem. with any luck, it will.

How old is your battery? The normal battery life is anywhere from 4-7 years, usually around 5.

Also easy to do alternator test. Start up your car, get a DVOM (Multimeter), set it to voltage (sorry can't remember AC/DC, I think it's AC. I just know the picture on mine.).

Put the + lead to the + terminal on the battery, - to -, obviously. See what voltage you have. 14.0-15 volts is good. Now turn on the accessories in your car (Radio, rear defroster, high beams, blower (fan)). Now see what the voltage is. Anything below 13v's = New alternator. 13.5 is pushing it. Also normal battery voltage with the car off should be around 12.6 volts.

Hope that helps

there should not be a difference between an auto and manual. i dont know what years are interchangeable though. all you have to do is check napaonline.com to see if they are the same product numbers.
