Ka24de,sputters,then revs almost full throttle Help!

hello, i just started having problems with my ka24de it will barely start when it does it starts to sputter then straightens out for a few secs then goes to wide open throttle without me touching the gas pedal, before it was sputtering then id hit the gas and it would only rev to 2,700 and start bouncing like a rev limiter i drove it home like this the lights were also going dead by the time i got home and my speedo was reading 10mph when it seemed like i was running 45mph.. but its doing the first listed now not sure about the speedo thing its currently parked!!.. im clueless of what has gone wrong Help plz!.....



i replaced the alternator,dis cap, & rotor button.

Cap and rotor would have absolutely nothing to do with you're issue. Id say look for a HUGE vacuum leak or something is wetting with your throttle body and or throttle cable.

i checked vac lines and throttle there all good. tps maybe?

No. the only way your car can free rev by itself is rather a vacuum leak or throttle sticking or something throttle related.

Leaks around the injectors maybe. I've seen one high rev because of the rubber missing around the injectors.

injectors are all good,i checked every vac line that i could see on the car for big cracks or holes,the throttle spins freely even with someone pressing on the pedal,im buying a tps today going to put it on tomorrow i think it mite be shorted out sending wrong sigs to the ecu making it run open throttle. ill check everything again just to make sure. its really hard to start like its getting no spark at all then it gets spark while sputtering then bam wide open throttle.

lol a rubber sleeve off the throttle cable was stuck on the under side of my throttle pulley i found it right after i took the tps out im gonna go ahead and buy the new tps since i got the old one out and a volt/ohm meter. im guessing while i was taken out the old alternator i must of hit that sleeve causing another problem we will see tomorrow when i reinstall everything.

its running like new! got the tps set to 0.51 volts Thanks for the Help! i removed that rubber sleeve completely so it don't fall into the pulley again.
