Check your compression, check your timing, injectors/spark and your MAF.

Also check your air filter/fuel filter

What happens when you try to rev it?

Might have an exhaust leak. I just fixed an exhaust leak on mine and it had the same symptoms. My leak was right where the manifold meets the head. My gasket blew and melted a spark plug wire in half. Would sit and rock the whole car at stop lights and power was gone from only having three cylinders to work with. You might have an exhaust leak also. If you here any ticking noises or anything look for them. Exhaust leaks can make ticking noises.

sounds like a bad injector/s. my brothers coupe had the same problem, at idle it sounded like a subaru and shook the car. if it idles like crap but smooths out when reved then it might be a bad injector.

pull off the spark plug wire on at a time and take note at which one does not cause a difference in idle.

Also check for vac leaks. That will give you a horrible idle like your describing.

I had the same problem you're having in my S13. In my case it was the injectors, you should check those and hopefully that helps.

its gota be a misfire or a really bad vacume leak mabe timing check spark plugs wires and injectors. to see if there working turn the car on then unplug each injector and see if the idle changes if it does that means that one was working. if it doesent it means that one isnt working then plug it back in and try the next one then do the same with the spark plugs tehe

check your timing... i can hear ticking in the vid.

oh and maybe you should wait to rev like that after you have built some oil pressure. that almost like starting it with no oil in the car at all.

Im actually having this prob 2 with my s13 but mine doesnt smooth out when i rev it sounds like a harley..it was fine when i drove in the morning but when i came back after a lil bit it started.i checked the spark plugs, the cables, and the disti. cap they all work and i quick checked for vac leaks and didnt find anything... i have a bad coolant temp. sensor that im waiting for a new replacement to arrive and was told that that could be causing my engine to act like its misfiring even though it isnt...what do you guys think?
