Ok here is the story, bought a 1992 Ka24de S13 240sx... The car was only running on three cyclinders when I bought it,, but it was due to something either fuel or spark because it past a compression test 150psi.. anyway I limped it home on 3 cylinders and did some fiddling and figured out the injector was not firing and had broke.. I replaced the injector and bam the engine ran smooth at idle.. 700-900 rpm... While it runs it just doesnt have the power it should and feels sluggish and hesitent to go in each gear, it revs very slowely but its not choppy, I does have a slight hesitaion down low but once you are past 1500 rpm its ok.... just sluggish... soo guys whats my problem?

I have changed fuel filter and new spark plugs, what next?

time it. that should give you the throttle response you want.

well i'm not saying your timing is off but it may not be right for how your driving. You adjust timing by using the timing light on the crank pulley marks and turning your distributor either way. you will notice the change in throttle response when you adjust it. this is assuming that when you rev your car it idles down for a split second and then idles up

yeah when I press the throttle it jumps down 200 rpm then shoots up... it feels like a hesitation... I might change the o2 sensor just to be safe... what is good timing for the ka??? in degrees

i'm not sure on degrees. i think if you look at the crank pulley with a timing light it should be pointing to the dash second from the left. but i would try timing it first before dropping money on an 02 sensor.
