im doing a total rebuild of my ka and ive looked everywhere and even to the dealership and i cant find any good pictures of anything....

i need some of the cam gears at top dead center so i can make sure the pdf stuff that i did manage to find is at least somewhat accurate

anybody have any sites or anything cuz im at the end of my rope.....

itll show KA24DE cam install, which shows the same thing.

chances are, your PDF is correct.

If you look in the fsm, there is a section on timing which gives you step by step instructions on setting your timing.

use the search bar and type fsm and there is one for every 240 even sr's i think

I found the KA's timing to be confusing. Even if you line all the marks up, you can still be wrong. it sucks. Remember that cam lobes pointing out is TDC.

thanks guys that exeactly what i was looking for hopefully its in there right hahaha...

now that thats done any tips on shoving it back into my car? because we got it out just fine, just wondering if there is some guru out there with a secret i might have overlooked when ripping it out...

"It" like the whole motor or "It" like the head or what?

the whole motor...but no worries got it in and it runs awesome, jus gotta baby it for a couple weeks so i break in all the gaskets and such

but ive noticed that im losing vacuum when i get on the breaks so ill have to retrace all my hoses in the morning
