KA24de rebuild questions (Newbie)

ok so i recently purchased a new ka24de the guy told me it was good but when i got it home and ripped it apart to make sure it was far from good melted cylinder 3 piston jacked up head all kinds of issues well i have hoaned the block to near perfection had my cranck checked and new head checked and cleaned i have purchaced new oem spec pistons and rings and rods rod bearings and new head studs and a full gasket set-----

is there anything else i should have checked or possible replace to ensure maximum reliability out of this motor?????? any xsuggestions would be appriciated
