Ok, so i pulled my ka24de out out my 91 s13. And rebuilt it with my buddys old block. I have evetything from my motor put on this longblock.(old motor was blown) and built it up. Put everything back and hooked everything up. No good. Rolls over but no start. It is getting spark, and getting fuel. No compression leak, and timing is right. Dizzy is also set correctly. Yet no luck. Also has the same ecu as the old motor. Only new thing is gaskets, clutch, flywheel, and block. Surfaced the head. Block ran before i had it.

it would appear to me that something must be missing. If you have air, fuel, and spark, and the timing is right, it would try to do something. Perhaps there is a sensor that is unplugged. But honestly, sounds like you may have missed something.

if you have air fuel and spark..your missing compression!..did you have the new block machined..and new rings installed?..if you just slapped new rings on and did not glaze brake the cylinders then you did it all for nothing and you need to disasemble and start from scratch..if you have ever seen a blck come back from a machine shope you would have seen the 45 degree cross hatch lines on the inside of the cylinderwalls..it's done that way to promote seating of the new rings..get back to us in detail of how you assembled the block.
