Hello everyone,

For my project this spring summer I am going to be doing a full rebuild on my KA24DE. The motor itself has 170k+ on it, and seeing as how I now have a second car as a beater I want to start giving my hatch the love it deserves. Now I have to say off the bat that I have never really been mechanically inclined. So I have been doing some research about what I need for a complete rebuild. Here is the list of parts I have about to be ordered.

ARP Custom KA24DE Hardended 12 pt Engine Main Studs SetARP 165-5401 Engine Head Studs Bolts Kit Eagle CRS6496N3D KA24 Engine Steel Forged Rods ACL 4B2746 Duraglide Rod Bearing Set Nissan KA24E/KA24DE. .50 overboreACL 5M2747 Duraglide Main Bearing Set Nissan KA24DE. .50 overboreOSK 13028-53F02 KA24DE DOHC Timing Chain Kit 1991-1998 Nissan 240SXGenuine Nissan OEM Complete Engine Gasket Kit (Set) S13 KA24DEFR Bando OEM Replacement KA24DE Engine Belts SetJE Piston Kit 244514 - NISAN KA24DE 9:1 KIT. .50 overboreAMS/Turbo240 KA24DE Oil Pump KitOEM Nissan water pump.BC stage 2 street cams.

Is this everything I would need to do the rebuild, or is their anything else I would need? I am also going to be getting all machine work done as well.

if you have already spent that much money, it wouldnt be much to get an intake plenum and a cometic head gasket would it? you will need some black rtv cement because im pretty sure the oil pan doesnt have an oem gasket (not 100% sure though, i also believe the timing covers need some too) You may need some blue or grey for the water pump and thermostat housing as well (not sure if theres a gasket for those either)

Other than that nothing is really jumping out at me. I bought all of mine seperately because i didnt have all the money at one time, and every time i turned around i had to go buy a gasket lol

Are you building for turbo?Because your list sure looks like it but you don't mention it. Slightly confusing. Obviously lower compression pistons on an NA is going to hurt power output. You do know this?
