KA24DE Rattle

I have a rattle coming from under my valve cover and i would like some help figuring out what it could be! i removed the upper timing chain guide and its still doing it!

It sounds like your timing chain. Your tensioners are probably failed and not putting enough tension on the chain. Same thing happened on my car, replace timing chain and components and it should fix it. It is coming from front of motor right?

It does sound like a timing chain rattle, but the world's worst timing chain rattle, usually it's intermittant, like it comes and goes.

I believe there's an oil plug on the tensioner that can come out, maybe yours did, and there isn't enough oil pressure.

It could also be that one of the guides snapped and is sitting jammed somewhere, rubbing the chain the entire time.

I think you should take off the cover, and see what's going on under there.
