Me and a buddy picked up a 1990 240sx, the motor starts and runs ok after 3k rpms...but from idle to 3k it bogs down sputters..what have you.we are experianced aircraft mechanics with lots of auto expierinace but cant figure this guy out. we have adjuted timing to stock(20 degrees) cleaned out the fuelinjectors replaced cap rotors and wires, re gapped sparkplugs, checked for vacum leaks. cleaned maf tb......all the tlc that one would expect to do on a car with anew owner we have done... could this be a problem with the coil? or a fuel pump problem...right when we open the throttle quickly it almost dies...we have to coax it to higher rpms but even then it hesitates. it idles fine cold it jumps up to 1200 ish rpms then drops to 7-800 when it warms up. but comin on the throttle with the slightest load makes it wann die out without alot of milkin...i was also thinkin transmission kickdown(its an automatic...for now..) if someone can help trouble shoot id apreciate it, were not to familiar with these motors Thanks!
