Ka24de problem at 5,000 RPM

Just got my first 240sx few days ago, first owner, 130k, everything is in excellent condition. Funny thing is... everytime it rev up to 5, the car shakes, or more like the engine pulling backward and forward is hard to explain, but u feel it, is like when u shifted really bad.. but continously. is this normal? lolz. Just hoping somone can tell me whats going on.

Try changing your fuel filter.

Sounds possibly like a misfire.. I would check plugs well change them up ngks plat. or copper. give the car a tune-up.

could it be? cuz i realy dont wanna waste money on parts that will not fix anything lolz. im poor. i just test it out more today, when in nuetural the problem dont occur, it only happens when is in gear going 5000 or + rpm

hmm, do you hit that 5k snafu in 4th or 5th gear?

5k in all gear seen to have the problem, but not neutral.. transmission problem?

I'd check the timing first, then move onto doing a tune up

If you do a tuneup yourself its actually pretty cheap, under $50 for everything (dist cap + rotor, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, pcv valve). Idk what your problem is but if you replace all those and the prob still exists it might be more serious...
