Hey guys/ My friend has blown his power steering pump and is looking to eliminate the pump all together. He needs to know if anyone knows how long the belt must be to go from crank pully to water pump only or a part number would be great to.Thanks in advance.Peter

you cant really bypass the power sterring pump because of the pully itself. the power sterring pump is also used as the tensioner for the water pump and crank belt. you could take the pump off and take the back off the pump and remove the pins inside the pump and that will allow the pump to free spin.

I made a custom bracket to lower the alternator so I can run one belt. It took about an hour and some machine work and welding, but it looks so clean. You can sort of see it in the pic.

I made it and it cost $7 dollars for the aluminum and some time. This setup ran 11's on 27psi. I will do a build thread some day, but never have the time.
