Beside the header itself what else is required to install. Will a hotot header install effect my engine in a negative way?

The Hotshot is the only header I'd recommend for the KA... it's well-built and fits good.

No reason not to install one.

make sure to pick up a new exhaust manifold gasket to replace the old one.

Hotshot is no Longer made. OBX should be a direct copy of hotshots design, and DC Sports header is supposed to be really good.

Buy a K&N drop in replacement stock panel filter, you will get more power out of it versus the air cone unless you want that whooshing/sucking sound.

Hey, I bought an OBX header and it fit's fine to the engine and the pipe's to egr valve and pair valve hose and o2 sensor. The problem I have is where it goes up under the car along sub frame is it is 1/4" to 1/8" from bottom of the car. IS THIS NORMAL? If so I will carry on and finish installation. It is 94 vert. Putting on a complete system ft to back

Yeah I bought one. Its been on for alomst 2 years and havent had any problems so far(keepin my fingers crossed). I had to fabricate an EGR tube for the thing because it didnt even come close to lining up with the stock tube. For the amount of work involved in doing it right (functioning EGR) it was a complete waste of time and money. Not worth it. It looks cool but thats about it in my opinion. Here are some pictures.

So if we don't have to worry about all of that EGR bullshyt, then the ebay header is actually good?

Its not worth it even if you dont bother hooking up the EGR. The gains I saw from installing it were minimal at best. I probably benefitted more from loosing the weight of the stock manifold than anything. Trust me when I say that reality will fall far short of the impression received. And that applies to alot of these "upgrades" they are selling. Then there is the issue of quality. I know I'm going to have future problems with this thing rusting through or a weld breaking loose. Good thing I still got the manifold. Even thought it only cost $75 its $75 dollars I could have saved towards something else that will yield better results like a turbo kit(which is what I'm doing), sway bars, springs, etc. Save your money.
