Ka24de parts in a Ka24e ?

I am re-building my ka24e and most of the parts I'm finding are for the ka24de. Are the rods the same and what about the pistons & head gasket?

rods are the same i believe, DE pistons will drop the CR in the SOHC if I remember right and I don't know about the HG

Does it really? does DE pistons in sohc drop the CR if so how muich?

I don't remember how much. SOHC pistons in a DE motor (or one with a DE head) will bump the CR up and it works the opposite way the other way around.

I am gonna need more info on that.. if de pistons in sohc block lower the sohc CR then i'm gonna do it! just need to know more info and how much lower the CR gets.

i just got the arias pistons for the ka24e they are sweet. they come in stock or overbore but if you order direct they are more than ams could get them for you.
